rewilding #88 the poetess

Tonight I asked each of the devi (goddesses) in Sanskrit/mantra class ‘what does it mean to embody the goddess?’ Wildly different answers amongst some uncertainty. I believe this is a very important question for women to embrace—body, mind, and beyond.

A friend and I pulled 7 oracle cards with a variety of aspects of the Divine Feminine. We are meditating on one a day from full moon to Solstice.

Today is Sappho who embodies the deep love, admiration, and sensuality between women. She was referred to in antiquity as the 10th muse and the Poetess, just as Homer was referred to as the Poet. She was one of the few known female poets of the ancient world and her poetry was publicly burned bc of its erotic nature.

Inspired by her courage, sensuality, and expression. Jai Devi!
